We have been fielding a lot of requests from BNBPAY holders lately on what to do after the @BitMartExchange hacked their $BPAY tokens. The investors seem to be pointing the finger at the team for not refunding their $BPAY.
Let’s not forget we were the biggest victim of the hack.
BitMart claims they will compensate ALL AFFECTED by the hack but they have yet to do for us or our investors.
Out of that 93m $BPAY that was hacked a portion of it also belonged to the team which was deposited to BitMart to be used for liquidity, contests etc.
Adding that to the resources dedicated to the rebrand and relaunch, we were significantly impacted by the security vulnerabilities of BitMart.
We could have let the hacker cash out the 93m $BPAY from pancake swap and destroy the investor’s value, then hope to claim for losses. But we decided stopping trading was the right thing to do.
We have been in talks with BitMart since day 1 and to this day they have denied any request of compensation for either the team or our holders. This is despite us doing the right thing by stopping trade and ultimately saving them a lot of headaches from angry investors.
We have since moved on and are not holding out any hope of getting compensated for our hacked $BPAY or relaunching efforts, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t keep trying.
Therefore please redirect any of your $BPAY on BitMart requests to BitMart directly, they mentioned compensating their users for all hacked tokens so hopefully, they will not go back on their works for $BPAY.
PS: Just because you still see $BPAY in your BitMart wallet doesn’t mean it is actually there, remember BitMart is a centralized exchange and can choose to display whatever they wish on the platform. The fact is we know for certain all $BPAY was hacked from the platform as we whitelisted the BitMart address ourselves so there was no tokenomics tax for depositing and withdrawing.
